I am an artist and early career Children's picture book author/illustrator living in Edinburgh.

I was fortunate enough to be selected for the Picture Hooks Buddy Scheme 2024, where I was mentored by Author/Illustrator Morag Hood while working on this story.

This is my first children's picture book and I am looking for representation and/or to get it published. Agents and publishers - I would love to hear from you!

Katy is absorbed in her own project - and most importantly in just being herself - but unfortunately from the outside it’s all too easy for this to be interpreted differently!
There is humour as well as frustration in this common type of misunderstanding between adult and child. I hope readers will find either or both viewpoints relatable. The story was inspired by a conversation with a friend’s daughter.
